VKU welcomed and worked with the delegation of Korea Soongsil cyber University
On the morning of November 2, 2023, Representatives of Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), The University of Danang had a meeting with the Delegation of Korea Soongsil Cyber University – KSCU in the KSCU staff training program to experience Vietnamese culture and learn about the education and training system in Da Nang, Vietnam since November 1 to November 5, 2023.

The delegation of Korea Soongsil Cyber University, including Professor Hernsoo Hahn – Rector, Head of the delegation, and 72 delegation members; Representative of VKU, MSc. Nguyen Ha Phuong – Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation spoke to welcome the Delegation of Korea Soongsil Cyber University and introduced VKU – a smart, modern environment with advanced administration methods. VKU has achieved outstanding results in recent years and is increasingly demonstrating the position and role in training, scientific research, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and innovation in the fields of information technology, communications and digital economy in the Central Highlands. The meeting with Korea Soongsil Cyber University today is an opportunity for the two sides to implement cooperation activities and develop VKU’s Business Administration major in the near future. Thereby, cooperation plans have also been proposed such as exchanging students and lecturers, and participating in the development of 2+2 dual training programs between the two universities.

Professor Hernsoo Hahn – Rector expressed his joy at visiting and working at VKU, and this is also a predestined relationship when he previously joined the consulting team in the second round of ODA project on supporting VKU’s development. Korea Soongsil Cyber University is a distance learning university in Korea founded in 1997 and officially operating in 2000 with online and distance training in the fields of Information Technology, Urban infrastructure, Business administration, Culture – Society – Arts – Education. The visit to VKU, a part of the KSCU staff training program to experience Vietnamese culture and learn about the education and training system in Da Nang, Vietnam for 1 week (from November 1 to November 5, 2023) will give KSCU staff the opportunity to learn and experience culture and education in Vietnam.
At the end of the visit, the two sides also exchanged, discussed and proposed cooperation options on the 2+2 dual training program for VKU students. Thereby, opening up many opportunities for deeper cooperation in training activities, contributing to increasing the friendship between the two countries, Vietnam and Korea.
