Networking Day – The event which connects divisions, leading agencies, organizations and businesses in the gaming industry of Vietnam and Korea
On the evening of November 23, 2023, before the event “Korean Game Week 2023”, Networking Day – the event which connects divisions, leading agencies, organizations and businesses in the gaming industry of Vietnam and Korea took place. The event welcomed Mr. Choi Seung Jin – Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, Assoc. Prof. Dr Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), The University of Danang, and representatives of gaming agencies, organizations and businesses in Vietnam and Korea.
Representing for the organizer, Mr. Choi Seung Jin warmly welcomed representatives of the divisions to the Korean Game Week 2023, an event held for the first time in Da Nang – a city which is not only famous for its beautiful natural landscapes but also constantly developing as a center of information technology industry in the whole country. Mr. Choi Seung Jin expressed his joy as this event is even more meaningful when it is held at Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology, a university specializing in information technology and also being a symbol of the friendship and the stable cooperation of the two countries.

At the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology sent his thanks to the organizer of Korean Game Week 2023 for choosing VKU as the venue for this important event. Korean Game Week 2023 is not only a great opportunity for students and fans in the Central region to experience leading technologies in the Korean gaming industry and Korean culture, but also a chance for the cooperation between large businesses from Korea and agencies, organizations, businesses, and institutions in Vietnam. Following VKU’s events such as the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-Korea diplomatic relations which was co – hosted with KOICA in 2022, the Korean Game Week 2023 which is co – organized with Korean Cultural Center has affirmed VKU’s ability to celebrate major events. This confirms VKU’s position as one of the leading public universities in ICT in the Central and Central Highlands and demonstrates its role as an important connection between Vietnam and Korea.
In addition, the representatives from Korean Game Culture Fund, Game for Good Foundation, NCSOFT Company have expressed the readiness to cooperate. Through the programs by the event, the divisions have had the opportunities to learn and to form a network between agencies and businesses in the Vietnamese and Korean gaming industry.
Korean Game Week 2023, hosted by the Korean Embassy and organized by the Korean Cultural Center, will take place on November 24 and 25, 2023 at Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology with many diverse activities such as the Final Round of Game Idea and Program Contest, Game Graphic Design Contest, E-Sport competition, interactions with gamers, streamers, cosplay performances along with unique experiential activities promising to bring big surprises.
