Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) is a member university of the University of Danang - a national key regional university, providing multi-field and multi-major training in the Central - Central Highlands with more than 2,000 civil servants, lecturers and over 50,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
VKU is proud to be the only and leading public university in the Central - Central Highlands orienting to become the international university model, providing in-depth training and research in the fields of information technology, communications and digital economy.

About VKU
Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communications Technology (VKU) is a member university of the University of Danang, established under Decision No. 15/QD-TTg dated January 3, 2020 of the Prime Minister. This is the only leading public university in the Central and Central Highlands providing in-depth training in Information Technology, Communications and Digital Economy.
VKU is located on a 21.5-hectare plot of land within the Urban campus of the University of Danang, Ngu Hanh Son district, Danang city. With modern and synchronous construction architecture, invested with more than 1,000 billion VND from the Government of Vietnam and 16.2 million USD from ODA funded from the Korean Government. Spacious facilities and specialized teaching support devices are equipped in labs such as: Cloud computing system, virtual reality, multimedia communication, graphic design, semiconductor IC design, mobile programming, embedded systems,…; The library is able to accommodate more than 1,500 students; The Student Center is combined with an outdoor sports area equipped for recreation, entertainment, and sports; The dormitory with 3 blocks of 5 floors accommodates nearly 5,000 students. VKU has a strong team of officials, managers and lecturers to meet the quantity and quality to implement the University’s training programs. The number of employees is 285, of which the number of lecturers is 191 with 07 Associate Professors and 67 Doctors trained from the countries with advanced education in the world such as the US, France, Japan, UK, Korea, New Zealand, Poland, Germany, Australia,… Currently, the training scale is nearly 6,000 students, the annual enrollment target is 1,500 students with the highest entry score in the Central – Central Highlands region for 15 majors such as: Information Technology, Technology Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Communication Technology, Information Security, Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics Administration and Digital Supply Chain, Digital Financial Administration, Tourism and Travel Service Management, Information Technology Project Administration, Semiconductor IC Design. The target by 2025 will be 10,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. Duties and Powers
Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology is a member university of the University of Danang (UD), established under Decision No. 15/QD-TTg dated January 3, 2020 of the Prime Minister, has legal status and its own seal and account; implements the financial independence mechanism according to the provisions of law; is under the direct management of UD, is subject to the State management of education by the Ministry of Education and Training and in related fields of other Ministries, divisions and territorial management of Danang City People's Committee. Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology have the following duties and powers:
a) Build strategies and development plans of the University in accordance with the general development strategies of UD and the socio-economic development orientation of the locality, region and the whole country;
b) Implement training, science and technology activities, international cooperation, and ensure the quality of higher education;
c) Develop training programs according to defined goals; ensure continuity between training programs and levels;
d) Build divisions; recruit, manage, foster lecturers, managers, officials and other employees according to the decentralization of UD;
e) Manage learners; ensure the legal rights and benefits of lecturers, officials, other employees, managers and learners; spend expenses to implement social policies for beneficiaries, who are living in ethnic minority areas, and areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions; ensure a pedagogical environment for educational activities;
f) Self-assess the quality of the training program and submit to educational quality accreditation;
g) Mobilize, manage and use resources; Build and strengthen facilities, invest in equipment;
h) Cooperate with domestic and foreign organizations of economy, education, culture, physical education, sports, health care and scientific research
i) Report; submit to inspection and examination by UD, Ministry of Education and Training, relevant ministries, divisions and localities; self-inspect and self-evaluate according to the provisions of law;
j) Other duties and powers according to the provisions of law and UD.
