Implementing Plan No. 1483-KH/DU dated December 12, 2023 of the Party Committee of The University of Danang and Announcement No. 441-TB/DU of the Party Committee of Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), The University of Danang, on the morning of January 2, 2024, the Party Committee of Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), The University of Danang organized a meeting on researching, studying, thoroughly grasping, propagating and deploying the Resolution of the 8th Meeting of the 13th Party Central Committee, summarizing the work of Party Development in 2023, and implementing tasks for 2024.
Overview of the meeting
Attending the meeting, on the Da Nang Party Committee’s side, there was comrade Mai Thi Thu – Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department; On the side of the University of Danang’s Party Committee, there was Dr. Phan Minh Duc – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Representatives from the Party Committee Office; On the VKU side, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Party Committee’s Secretary, University’s Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University’s council; comrades from the Standing, Executive Committee, affiliated Party cells, Trade Union Executive Committee, Youth Union and more than 100 Party members of the University’s Party Committee.

Speaking at the opening of the Meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Secretary of the Party Committee emphasized the importance of Party Development at the university’s Party Committee. In 2023, although there are still many difficulties and challenges, with the direction and leadership of the Party Committee, the Party Standing, the Board of Directors of The University of Danang, and the coordination of member units within the University of Danang, along with the tradition of solidarity and dedication of all party members, officials, workers and students; the university continues to stabilize and develop. Over the past year, the University’s Party Committee has comprehensively led the University to successfully complete the set tasks in many flexible and appropriate forms and has always demonstrated the leading political core role of the University’s Party Committee. Comrade Huynh Cong Phap summarized some outstanding achievements that the University has achieved in 2023 such as: successful enrollment reaching 100% of the target with entrance benchmark scores among the top in the Central and Central Highlands regions and throughout the country; Promote the implementation of ODA projects and international cooperation projects; strengthen cooperation with many domestic and foreign businesses and organizations; improve the quality of training programs, deploy courses strengthening English, Japanese, and Korean; Organize academic competitions for high school students in the Central and Central Highlands provinces, etc., contributing to enhancing the position and reputation of VKU.

The content of the report clearly stated the advantages and difficulties in implementing the Party’s tasks in 2023. With the determination, the solidarity, and the unity in leadership, the direction, the implementation, the solutions, the university’s Party Committee has successfully completed the political tasks in 2023. On that basis, the university’s Party Committee also proposed key tasks and solutions to carry out Party development for 2024.

Speaking at the Meeting, Dr. Phan Minh Duc – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Council of The University of Danang recognized and appreciated the results achieved by the University’s Party Committee in 2023. Thereby, it is recommended that the University’s Party Committee continues to promote the internal solidarity of the University’s Party Committee, to focus on directing and strengthening the organizational apparatus, to develop a team of officials and employees, to improve the training quality, to pay attention to activities for students and scientific research as well as training activities, to focus on implementing international cooperation projects, etc. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to the development of new party members to contribute to fulfilling the Resolution’s targets of the 2020-2025 term.

On this occasion, the University’s Party Committee jointly organized a meeting on researching, studying, thoroughly grasping, propagating and deploying the Resolution of the 8th Meeting of the 13th Party Central Committee. Comrade Mai Thi Thu – Deputy Head of the Da Nang City Party Committee’s Propaganda Department presented the key contents of Resolutions No. 42, 43, 45 of the 8th Central Meeting including: Continuing innovation , improving the quality of social policies, meeting the requirements of developing and protecting the country in the new period; Continuing to promote the tradition of great national unity, upgrading the country to a rich, prosperous, civilized and happy nation; Continuing to build a team of intellectuals to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new period; protecting the country in the new period; Moreover, the Conclusion No. 62 of the Politburo on implementing Resolution 19 to innovate the organization and management system, improving the quality and operational efficiency of public service units was also presented. In addition, the Directive 34-CT/TU of the Da Nang City Party Committee on continuing to promote administrative reform, strengthen discipline, and overcome the situation of avoiding, pushing, and not correctly and fully fulfill the responsibilities, tasks and powers of some cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees in the current situation.
With the responsibility to deploy and successfully complete key political tasks for 2024, all officials and party members of the University have focused on absorbing and determining to innovate thinking, improving awareness, building a specific action program for the University’s training and research activities, contributing to providing human resources in the fields of information technology, communications and digital economy, and planning to international training for majors such as: Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor IC Design, Digital Finance, Logistics and Digital Supply Chain, …. VKU has been ready to supply the resources for the development of The University of Danang in particular and Da Nang City in general.
