Overview of the closing ceremony of the Finals of the Central – Central Highlands Vietnam Informatics Olympiad 5th Edition – 2024
On March 29th and 30th, 2024, at the Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), Da Nang University, the Finals of the Central Highlands – Central Vietnam Informatics Olympiad 5th Edition – 2024 took place. The event was organized by VKU in coordination with the Vietnam Computer Association, ICPC Vietnam, the Department of Education and Training, and Le Quy Don Specialized High School in Da Nang City. It was intentionally designed for passionate students who are into information technology, providing an engaging and beneficial platform to foster learning, updating, practicing, and innovating programming solutions, thereby contributing to the provision of high-quality human resources for the future. Over the past 5 years, the competition has been organized with seriousness and quality, earning high praise from experts, contestants, parents, and teachers from high schools and middle schools nationwide.

With the collaborative efforts of reputable experts from the Vietnam Computer Association, ICPC Vietnam, and VKU, the competition has affirmed its prestige and high quality to a remarkable extent, meeting the standards of national and international competitions. The gathering of numerous programming and algorithm talents from Vietnam for the competition further emphasized this fact. Among the list of participants, 8 out of 15 students belonged to the national team participating in the regional and international Olympiad in 2024. These students were recently selected through the National Team Selection Exam held by the Ministry of Education and Training from March 25th to 27th, 2024. Among them are students: Nguyen Huu Tuan, Pham Ngoc Trung, Hoang Xuan Bach, Nguyen Tuan Linh, Tran Gia Huy, Pham Cong Minh, Nguyen Canh Duong, Dao Quang Linh from High School for Gifted Students, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Nguyen Anh Dung from Nguyen Chi Thanh Gifted High School, Dak Nong. Additionally, there are 3 other students (Vo Thanh Hai – Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted, Dak Lak; Le Viet Nam Khoi – Vietnam Australia International School, Ho Chi Minh City; Nguyen Minh Hieu – Le Thanh Tong Specialized High School, Quang Nam) who also participated in the National Team Selection Exam, along with 140 students from the Excellent Informatics Student teams of provinces/cities who achieved First, Second, and Third prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition in Informatics in 2024.

The Central – Central Highlands Vietnam Informatics Olympiad 2024 has demonstrated its selectivity, fairness, and difficulty level equivalent to national and international competitions, as the outstanding students mentioned above once again showcased their capabilities and excellence, dominating most of the top rankings in the Super Cup category of this year’s Finals of the Central – Central Highlands Vietnam Informatics Olympiad. Notable examples include student Hoang Xuan Bach (High School for Gifted Students, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) who bore the Championship title, followed by students Nguyen Tuan Linh and Pham Cong Minh who are also from High School for Gifted Students, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
