The academic and cultural exchange program with KMUTNB University, Thailand created opportunities for VKU students to experience, study, exchange culture and improve international integration skills
The academic and cultural exchange program between VKU students and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) has ended successfully with many impressive results and beautiful memories. The program took place from June 24 to June 30, 2024, with the participation of lecturers and 32 students from VKU and KMUTNB, aiming to strengthen international cooperation as well as learning and cultural exchange opportunities between Vietnam and Thailand.

During the one-week program, VKU and KMUTNB students had the opportunity to participate in many diverse academic and cultural exchange activities. In particular, students from both schools took part in the PISI startup and innovation incubation activities, including topics on design thinking and Canvas business model, focusing on the fields of information technology, tourism and digital transformation.

In addition, lecturers from VKU and KMUTNB also shared and provided students with many profound insights into the latest technology trends. At the end of the academic exchange, student groups confidently presented their startup ideas, demonstrating their creativity and teamwork ability with ideas such as: Halal Restaurant – An ideal place for tourists, VR Danang Tour (using virtual technology VR to explore Da Nang tourism anytime, anywhere), Key chain (tourism promotion gifts), Viet Easy Pay, GoViet Application, Help me – Hard working even yo’re sick.

Apart from academic exchange activities, the program also offered many interesting extracurricular activities. VKU and KMUTNB students had a good time visiting the beautiful city of Da Nang and famous tourist destinations such as Hoi An Ancient Town and Ba Na Hills. Cultural exchanges, Vietnamese – Thai language exchanges and team building activities helped students learn more about Vietnamese culture and people, while strengthening friendship and cooperation among students.

In his closing speech, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – VKU Vice Rector acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of the academic and cultural exchange program between VKU and KMUTNB students. This is an activity of great significance, helping students of the two schools have the chance to experience, study, exchange cultures and improve their international integration skills.
On behalf of the KMUTNB delegation, Assoc.Prof. Supeeti Kulchan would like to thank the leaders and all staff, lecturers and students from VKU for their thoughtful preparation and warm and sincere welcome. Students of the two schools had many meaningful exchange activities and beautiful memories. They hoped that the program would be maintained and organized annually, and they would see VKU again in Thailand.
The academic and cultural exchange program between VKU and KMUTNB has ended, but the memories and lessons from the program will continue to inspire and contribute to the personal and academic development of each student. The success of the program is not only a testament to the effective cooperation between VKU and KMUTNB, but also a motivation to further promote the expansion of exchange and cooperation with many universities in Southeast Asia and the world.
