In order to promote the scientific research movement among students, create a useful playground, help students enjoy scientific research and creative, contribute to improve the learning quality, on June 15, 2022, the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang organized the Conference Students Scientific Research (SR) 2022-2023.

Attending the conference, there was Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Chairman University Council; Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector, representatives of the Universitys faculties and departments; Jury members, Evaluation Council from enterprises: Enouvo IT Solutions, Orient Software Da Nang Company, Axon Active Vietnam, Enclave Software Technology Company, LogiGear Da Nang; mentors and students implementing the project.

Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector of the University gave the opening speech of the Conference

 Speaking at the opening conference, Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector acknowledged and praised the SR spirit’s students, the dedication and seriousness of mentors. And the University affirmed that it always pays attention and creates conditions for students to participate in SR in the university environment in order to detect and foster SR capable factors to create research products that are applicable to the community and society.

According to the summary report on the implemented SR students results in 2022-2023, this year, there are 29 topics registered to participate, of which 17 topics are accepted and participated at the University-level Conference Student Scientific Research and 06 authors groups with typical SR topics reported and answered critical questions before the Evaluation Council. The topics are focused on research areas suitable for training majors, topics that are meaningful in science as well as, practical and highly applicable in most fields such as education, medicine, agriculture, industry, trade, services, etc. In particular, some topics are written and reported entirely in English.

Ending Conference, the evaluation council selected and decided to award these excellent research groups: 03 First Prizes, 03 Second Prizes, 05 Third Prizes and 03 Consolation Prizes. In particular, 03 excellent research projects winning the First Prize will be selected to attend the Conference students scientific research at the University of Da Nang.

At the discussion and closing session, Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector gave some general assessments on the situation of Universitys students scientific research activities; there has been progress in quantity and quality, the topic has been built up with more general and extensive knowledge, students have invested, focused on creating factors in real and highly practical research work, there are students studying in the 1st and 2nd years who can present confidently and fluently to the Council, this is a good sign, stimulating creativity, exploring with new technologies in society.

With the orientation to build the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology to become a prestigious University for education, research and technology transfer in the field of IT and related fields according to the higher education model, the focus on promoting scientific research activities among students is considered as one of the University’s key tasks.
