The Rector mentioned that VKU is a bright spot in the friendly relationship between the two countries, with active cooperation and investment from South Korea’s ODA funds in the field of education. This is demonstrated by notable achievements such as VKU’s admission standards ranking at the top in the Central and nationwide regions, ranging from 24 to 26/30 points (average 8 points/subject), developing and introducing new training programs from three majors to 14 majors/specializations, focusing on “hot” fields such as Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor Circuit Design, etc. VKU currently has over 6,000 students and plans to increase to 8,000 – 10,000 students by 2030. It is also working toward strengthening scientific research activities and cooperation with strategic partners within the Southeast Asian region, connecting with many Korean enterprises in training and recruitment activities. Along with many cultural exchange activities, volunteer programs between VKU students and Korean students contribute to spreading VKU’s academic brand and service spirit. Thereby, VKU aims to expand opportunities for collaboration in training high-quality human resources in the gaming industry for the domestic and global markets. Additionally, VKU proposed that the Korean Game Culture Foundation show interest in investing, sponsoring, and maintaining “the Korean Game Week” as an annual event on an expanded scale with more subjects, and more tournaments such as Esports for Vietnamese universities.
