Dr. Ettikan Karuppiah – Director of NVIDIA, Asia Pacific South Region delivered his speech.
Dr. Ettikan Karuppiah expressed his gratitude to the leadership of VKU for the warm welcome and impressive insights shared by VKU. He stated that AI is booming and will become a core technology trend in 2024. NVIDIA, as a leading provider of AI technology products, continues to develop the most advanced GPU chips to meet the growing demand for AI applications worldwide. Vietnam is one of NVIDIA’s strategic markets, and education institutions play a crucial role in adopting, researching, and applying the latest technologies while providing high-quality human resources for innovation.
NVIDIA are planning to establish NVIDIA Ambassador groups in universities. These ambassadors will organize training courses based on NVIDIA’s curriculum, offering free education to the academic community, especially students. All content and materials will be accessible through DLI (Deep Learning Institute) online for free. With this model, universities can expand the number of NVIDIA ambassadors from their faculties to train students, aiming to reach 10,000 students in Vietnam within two years. In Danang, NVIDIA will select 10 lecturers from VKU and other universities to train 2,000 students annually.
At the end of the meeting, VKU leaders expressed hope for positive outcomes from the NVIDIA Ambassador model. VKU looks forward to adopting NVIDIA’s training standards and preparing human resources to embrace the new wave from NVIDIA.
