Shopping Adventures : Stop & Shop 8/31
This weekend was a very exciting Stop & Shop weekend for Dizee.
I was stoked when I saw these bad boys in the weekly circular…. The real challenge was making sure I hit the minimum purchase.
I ended up buying a bunch of staples I normally would spread out over a bunch of trips – King Arthur Whole Wheat and White Whole Wheat flour. Soda for a family party I am hosting in a few weeks. Dawn Dishwashing Soap (this is the base of a sugar hand scrub which is great!!! Post to follow next week).
Overall I ended up saving $48 with my Stop & Shop card and $25 with coupons.
But the biggest score? This baby.
The boys have been eyeing this all summer. It is a three in one slip and slide, pool and sprinkler. Apparently, it is the Bentley of Slip and Slides… It had been going for anywhere between $35 – $40. I got it Saturday morning for 10 bucks!!!!
Now, I just have to make sure I stash it somewhere out of site until next summer.
Shopping Adventures : CVS 12/30/2011
I have a cold sore the size of Toledo… I want to shoot myself. I have been told that Abreva is fantastic, so I wanted to give it a try. However, it is a tad pricey ($19.99).
I went to the Abreva site where I found a $2.00 coupon. Then, just before I left, CVS kindly sent me an email for $5.00 off a $25.00 purchase…. how sweet.
I bought the Abreva for $19.99 & a sippy cup for $4.79. My total was $25.12. I led with the $5.00 coupon, followed up with my $2.00 coupon and got the whole shebang for $18.12 with tax.
It is like I got a free sippy cup. Just shows a little planning goes a long way. I saved over $7.00 bucks!
Shopping Adventures : Rite Aid
My grandmother is a bit of a Debbie Downer. She put the kibosh on ‘Christmas Junk’ since, as she puts it, she is 89 years old & doesn’t need anything… BOO!
So, I decided to get her stuff she can use – like toilet paper & Prevacid. (Yes, BORING!)
Anyway, these Prevacid’s were $27.00 each with a $5 Up Reward. I bought two (obviously) and used a $7.00/2 coupon that was in Sunday’s newspaper (it was kismet).
The best part, unbeknownst to me, Rite Aid was giving away free Up Rewards when you spend over $50.00 as part of their Christmas Deal.
So, in the end, I spent $47 dollars on two packages of Prevacid & got back $20.00 towards a future purchase.
Nice! ‘Tis the season!
Shopping Adventures : Old Navy 11/22/2011
So, I love Old Navy stuff. I got great deals, but I bet if you shop clearance, you could do better…. I also used my Old Navy Cash, total out of pocket was 50 bucks….

Total Saved : $40.00
Shopping Adventure : Target 11/15/2011
Well, the boys and I had fun at Target. They have some really cute crafts (more on that tomorrow). But, I used my coupons like a good girl & saved over 7 bucks!

Not a bad way to spend 12 bucks, right?
Shopping Adventures : Old Navy 11/05/2011
I braved the mall with two kids to use my 30% off coupon… and boy was I glad I did! (although look at this picture!!! BOOO!! What was I trying to capture?!)
|
So, my total was just over $100 bucks but I also got $30 off my next $60+ order….
Note : I got 2 winter jackets, 1 decent warm jacket, 3 Licensed T-Shirts, 2 shirts for me & water bottles…. oh & a pair of pants for Max.
My recipet says I saved 118.38 on my order. The actual savings I got with the coupon, though, was $43.82. Can we say SCORE?
