Build a Bear Coupon & McDonald’s Happy Meal Toys
Do you have a Build-A-Bear fan in the house?
I have two. Oy!
Both little men decided they wanted to go to Build-a-Bear to build a Frosty the Snowman. And they wanted to use their own money!
Figuring this was a good life lesson we decided to grant their request and planned to head off to BaB on Sunday morning.
Saturday afternoon, Max wanted to see all the different options Frosty could come with. He is a details man.
Guess what I discovered – McDonald’s was offering a coupon for $10.00 off your $30.00 order. (FYI – your order will always be over $30.00).
Well, I always look for an excuse to head to McDonalds (even if I should know better).
However, did you know you could buy the happy meal toys without actually having to PURCHASE a happy meal?
This is one of those times this knowledge came in handy.
Not because we didn’t get a kid meal – we did. But my boys are not fans of being the “recipient” of a girl’s toy.
(I guess the McDonald’s brass never realized that boys are Build-a-Bear fans too?). So, for $2.50-ish I purchased two girl toys in addition to our meals and I received two $10.00 coupons.
Our boys ended up loving their Frosty’s!

Sounded like a very good deal and they saved money and had some McDonalds which everyone likes too. Very nice!!!! Good work!!!
Love,
Mom =)
Thanks mom!
Don’t you just HATE that they genderize the happy meals! I have 4 nieces and they always want hot wheels when it’s hot wheels or the characters from movies that are usually given to boys, If they are going to have two different toy options they should ask, “Would you like Barbie or Hot Wheels?” not “Is this for a boy or a girl?” It really puts a damper on those kids who would honestly like the opposite choice!
Agree 100%!!!! Sometimes I wonder who is in charge of these things!!!! According to the bottom of the box, Furbys (is that the correct spelling?!) are the next ‘girl’ toy lined up. You can be sure that my boys will want them too!
Morgan and Sophie are big build a Bear fans too…and I love coupons!
I haven’t yet met a coupon I didn’t like.
I remember Morgan and Sophie getting gift cards for an occasion. Do they like American Girls too? I hear they are CRAZY expensive.
If something tastes better than you expected, you could use the word wow to express your surprise. If you say something tastes amazing, you’re saying it tastes even better than great or really good.
